All of our patients have an accountable named GP who is responsible for overall care. If you are unsure who this is please ask next time you visit the practice. If you have a preference to which GP that is please contact the practice.

 

Furzton Medical centre will introduce a new role of a nurse practitioner from April 2016 , if you have a minor illness we would recommend first you speak to your local pharmacy and if required book an appointment with our nurse practitioner there are a number of conditions she is able to prescribe for please check with reception upon booking.

Travel and Hep B vaccinations

Travel  Vaccines

If you require Travel advice please book an appointment with our nurse we recommend you book at least 4-6 weeks before travel  . You will advised what vaccines are required and if there is a charge, which will be payable during your consultation.

Please note that for Hep B vaccines each vaccination requires a £40 fee, it is a course of 3 vaccines.  For vaccines that we do not offer such as yellow fever , rabies please look online for your nearest travel clinic prior to booking an appointment .

We are unable to offer urgent appointments for travel vaccines so please ensure you book in plenty of time

For children the cost is £27.00 per vaccine.We do not have the facility for card payments please make payment with cash or cheque

We do not offer Hep B vaccinations for Occupational Health, if your employer has requested you have this vaccination you can contact a private service for this.
